Somewhere sheltered, convenient and nearby a lot of good hiding spots. It's usually an office or a reserved space at a pub or bar.

Can you help with finding venues?
For Bespoke games, we can help find suitable venues to either start or end the game at. We have a list of good ones!

Who should be the Chicken?
We recommend that the Chicken is one of your group as it's more fun hunting someone you know, but one of our hosts can step in if needed.

Can we have more than one Chicken?
Yes, you can have multiple Chickens. But they must hide together as only one can be GPS-tracked.

The Chicken is tracked via GPS, with a large circle around their location

Shrink

The circle shrinks every 2 minutes around their hiding spot, slowly revealing the location

Chasers race to find the Chicken's hiding spot

The main aim is to find our feathered friend, this earns you 100 points

Challenges

Teams gain extra points by completing fun tasks, you can pick from our list or create your own

The Chicken reviews the Challenges as they come in, deciding who's worthy of points

We give a little egg cup trophy to the winning team, but please add more prizes to up the stakes.

What happens after the game?
For Bespoke games, we can pre-order food and drink at the hiding spot upon request so it's ready on arrival.

FAQs

We get a lot of questions, as you might expect...

How does the game work?

Put simply, someone dresses up as a chicken and hides in a pub or bar. Everyone else playing has to find the chicken, usually over two hours, completing challenges to earn additional points as they go. A location tracker shows the area where the chicken is hiding, shrinking every two minutes over the course of the game.

Where can we play the game?

You can play in any city in the world! Just place a circle on a map, let your Chicken loose and it'll gradually shrink around their hiding spot. For Hosted games - where a member of our team is present on the day - we can join you anywhere in the UK, subject to availability.

When can we play the game?

We offer hosted games anytime between 11am and 9pm on weekdays. For weekends, please enquire to check availability of hosts. Timings tend to be more flexible for remote games, but please enquire and we will get back to you.

How long does the game take?

The usual length is two hours. We can adapt the game to make it last between one and three hours, but we think two hours is best. We also recommend factoring in half an hour at the beginning and the end of the game for the setup and debrief.

Who dresses up as the Chicken?

You decide! We recommend having at least two Chickens so they don't get lonely. It's the best role in the game; receiving challenges, scoring them and watching the teams gradually close in. It's fun.

Does everyone need to install an app?

No. The game is played on a web app. Share a QR code or copy a Join Link URL to send players straight to the game's registration page, it's super easy.

How many people can play the game?

The game can be played with as few as 8 people, but in general the more the merrier. Technically, the game has a limit at 1024 players (terrifying) - our current record is just shy of 200 players.

Chicken Rush for teams

What we offer

Standard / Bespoke Games

Standard - Get access to the Chicken Rush game with our easy-to-use platform. Create your own challenges or choose from our own list, sort everyone into teams, pick your Chicken and receive all of your photos and videos at the end.

Bespoke - We help organise your experience, book venues, come up with custom challenges and answer any queries and provide much logistical help as we can.

You can play anywhere in the world, we love seeing Chicken Rush in new areas. Past highlights include: The ski slopes of Livigno in Italy, Sao Paolo, New York City, Dublin, Melbourne and even had hundreds play at Glastonbury festival (unofficially).

In-Person Hosts

We can provide one of our brilliant Hosts to be there on the day. They help run the game to make it a hassle-free experience, while hyping up teams and setting the mood!

We offer this service mainly in London but can travel to anywhere in the UK if you cover the cost of travel. If you want a game hosted abroad, just get in touch. Our Hosts are like Chickens, they don't fly very often... but they definitely can fly! ✈️

Looking for a custom game?

We often get requests to tweak how the game works. Here are some examples from previous games:

Chicken? Santa? Company Mascot?
While we love hunting Chickens, we often hunt Santa at Christmas. Within reason, we welcome the hunting of any costume-wearing human.

City-wide game
Play across the whole of London over the course of 4 hours and allow forms of public transport.

Kidnapped Boss
The boss gets taken away and teams have to race to find them first... This one makes the game less about hunting and more about rescuing a CEO in distress.

Custom Map
Overlay a tailored list of locations where the Chicken could be hiding. eg. We displayed all the pop-up bars on a map at an unofficial game at Glastonbury Festival.

Weapons
A new game mode is in the works, which is very exciting. Get in touch if you want to be the first to play.

Hiding spots
We recommend that the Chicken hides in a pub or bar in a city as they are the best places to hide - comfy, sheltered and we can reserve a private space! If this isn't possible, we can come up with an alternative plan - we have used cafés in the past.
