A game born for socials

Learn about Chicken Rush’s origin story

Born at university

In 2019, Fred played a game called Ou est le Poulet in Edinburgh. It was fun, even if not hugely memorable.

Three years later, we started working on improving this original game and added location-tracking. We held "trial" games with friends, improving the game a little each time.

The Chicken takes off

In early 2023, we launched the game and let anyone host their own. We relied on word of mouth, we didn't have any money for ads.

Slowly but surely, games began to pop up around the world. We've had colleges & universities from America, Canada, Australia, France and many more chase Chickens.

Looking forward

Our plan is obviously chicken-fuelled world domination. But after that, we'll just help with these new traditions of "Annual Chicken Rush games" for societies and other groups.

Since the first Chicken was chased we've seen thousands of "Rushers" go outside, make new friends and, in a surprising number of cases, find love.

Not bad. 🐔
