Escape rooms had their moment. But when you’ve got a big group, splitting everyone into tiny rooms (or queuing for time slots) kills the vibe. Chicken Rush is a city-wide game of hide & seek mixed with a scavenger hunt - teams chase a “Chicken” across the city using a live, location-tracking web app and complete ridiculous challenges to score points.
Most escape rooms cap out at 6–8 players. If you have a team of 30, you’re either booking multiple rooms or rotating shifts. With Chicken Rush, you can run one game for your whole group at the same time - from 10 people to hundreds. (We’ve done some massive public hunts in the past.)
Escape rooms can feel cramped, loud, and samey. Chicken Rush is outdoors and social: you’re moving through the city, stopping at landmarks and pubs, and playing in the real world. It’s still competitive - it just doesn’t happen in a basement.
In escape rooms, one loud person can end up doing all the thinking. In Chicken Rush, teams are usually 4–6 people, and the challenge mix (creative, tactical, and occasionally chaotic) gives everyone a role - navigator, hype person, puzzle brain, content capturer, sprint merchant.
Escape rooms need staff, resets, briefings, and constant supervision. Chicken Rush is powered by our web app (no app store download): teams join, get their rules, map, and challenges, then play in a self-contained flow. For corporates, we can also run it fully hosted if you want the “white glove” version.
Escape rooms finish… in a lobby. Chicken Rush finishes in a venue - usually a pub - where teams meet up, compare evidence, roast each other’s terrible photos, and do the big reveal when someone finally catches the Chicken. It feels more like a proper social than an “activity that ends”.
