Challenge
Examples
Challenges are the silly, social, slightly-competitive tasks teams take on while hunting the Chicken. Here's how they work — and a taste of the kind of thing you'll be doing.
So, what's a challenge?
While teams are tracking the Chicken across the city, they can also complete challenges for points. Think dares, photo missions, mini-games and creative tasks — all designed to get people out of their comfort zone and laughing together.
Players submit a photo or video of each challenge straight from the web app. The Chicken scores them live as they come in, and every point feeds the leaderboard in real time.
That's the twist: finding the Chicken first is worth a lot, but a team that throws itself into the challenges can out-score the fastest hunters. The winner is whoever has the most points when the whistle blows — so challenges genuinely decide the game.
Three Types of Challenge
Each challenge is scored in one of three ways.
Scored on a scale
The Chicken rates the submission on effort, creativity or skill — from zero up to the challenge's max. The better the attempt, the more points. e.g. Album Cover, Catwalk.
One shot, full points
You either did it or you didn't. Pull it off and you bank the full points; come up short and you get none. e.g. I'm a Celebrity, Take Flight.
Points add up
You earn points per item or per repetition, so the more you do the higher you score, up to a cap. e.g. Against the Cluck, Story Time.

🎶Album Cover
up to 15ptsRecreate an iconic album cover. Go original — we've seen one too many Abbey Roads. More creative = more points.
⭐️I'm a Celebrity
40ptsGet a photo with a real, living celebrity, taken on game day. No posters or masks. Recent completions: Bill Nighy and David Walliams.
🤗Hug a Stranger
20ptsHug a stranger for a full 30 seconds, consensually. It gets awkward around the 10-second mark.
🍺Split the G
up to 20ptsSplit the G on a pint of Guinness. The closer to the perfect split, the more points you bank.
🪨Cluck, Paper, Scissors
15ptsBump into another team and challenge them to a best-of-three. Win it on film and the points are yours.
⏱️Against the Cluck
up to 20ptsFlip a beermat off the edge of a table and catch it with the same hand as many times as you can in 30 seconds. 1 point per catch.
😎Catwalk
up to 15ptsHead into any clothes shop, try on something funky and film an artsy catwalk strutting your style.
🎤Simon Cow-ell
up to 15ptsYour most confident singer picks a song and belts it out — but only using 'Moo'. If the Chicken guesses the song, you score.
✈️Take Flight
10ptsGet a photo of your whole team mid-jump, with not a single foot on the ground.
🎈Balloon Battle
20ptsInflate a balloon before you can leave the meeting spot, then reach the Chicken with it intact. 30 minutes in, you can start popping rival teams' balloons.
✨Chick Perspective
up to 15ptsPull off a forced-perspective optical-illusion shot — standing on a bottle, balancing on a teammate's hand, or leaning on Big Ben.
💃Cluckin' About
up to 15ptsDo the Chicken dance. What is the Chicken dance? It's a moment. It's a feeling. More energy, more footwork.
🛂Passport Control
up to 10ptsPassports please. Track down as many real passports as you can — tourists, jet-setting colleagues, or those who use it as ID.
📞Hotline Wing
up to 10ptsSqueeze as many people as possible into a phone box. Extra points for roping in strangers.
✋Greetings
up to 10ptsInvent a secret handshake and film your team performing it. The longer it is, the more you score.
🐣Score a Hat Chick
up to 10ptsThrow food into a teammate's mouth three times in a row. Rated on height and distance.
🍺Pour a Pint
up to 20ptsPolitely ask a member of staff to let you pour a pint — properly sanctioned, no cheekiness. Avoid a glass of pure foam and you score.
📸Team Photo
5ptsAn easy 5 points. One team photo-booth-style shot — funny faces, silly smiles, whatever works.
🪦Feeling Peckish
up to 5ptsFind a piece of fried chicken and have a moment of silence to pay your respects. RIP.
🐔Story Time
up to 40ptsPost an Instagram Story of the hunt tagging @thechickenrush — 5 points per teammate's story. Rack them up.
