Introduction
Last year, we played a small game of Chicken Rush on Day 1 of Glastonbury Festival. We really didn't know if it would work at all.
Would the phone reception hold up? Would the weather be ok? Could we load all of Glastonbury's bars on the map? Would anyone turn up? 😂
In the end, 30 of us met up and hunted a Chicken across the festival's site completing challenges along the way.
Human pyramids at the Pyramid Stage. Snaps of entrances to secret venues. Selfies with bearded guys that looked a bit like Michael Eavis. Our Chicken almost fainted due to it being too hot in the costume.
Finally, after 2 hours, the Chicken was found at Carhenge. Everyone loved it.
So we just had to come back again and do a bigger one with more people.
Notes: First come, first served. This isn't official, Glastonbury didn't reply to any of our emails... Don't blame them tbh, does sound a bit mad.
How it works

The meeting point
We'll meet at 6pm on the Wednesday at a meeting point (TBC)

Get all signed up
We'll send a join link via WhatsApp so you can join with your team

The hunt is on
Once everyone's arrived, the Chicken runs off, getting a 5-minute head start to hide in a nearby bar

The Circle
The Chicken will be tracked via GPS, with a large circle around their location

The Shrink
As the game progresses, the circle closes in on their hiding spot
"It's like Fortnite!"

Checking Pubs
Teams check bars visible on the map to see if the Chicken is inside, no peeking please!

Drinks Lottery
If a Team visits the wrong bar, they can buy a random drink. This isn't compulsory...

Finding The Chicken
The main aim is to find the Chicken first, this earns you 100 points. 2nd gets 75 points, 3rd gets 50 points.

Once the game’s time limit is up, the team with the most points wins! We'll have some prizes, nothing fancy.
